ZONING HEARING

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Pocono Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 30, 2023, beginning at 5:00 P.M., at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, Pennsylvania 18372. At this hearing, the Board will consider the application of New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC, d/b/a AT&T Mobility for the following relief: (1) special exception approval under § 470-19.B(2)(a) of the Pocono Township Code of Ordinances to construct two small-cell telecommunication facilities; (2) variances from § 470-52.A(2), § 470-52.B(2), § 470-52.F, § 470-34.C(1), and such other provisions of the Code that may be necessary to construct to proposed small-cell facilities rather than macro-cell communications towers; and, in the alternative, (3) interpretations by the Board that the Code provisions do not apply to the proposed small-cell facilities.
Applicant leases the subject property from the record owner, EPT Ski Properties, Inc. The subject property is comprised of two parcels located at 246 Resort Drive (Monroe County Parcel ID No. 12.10.1.1 and Map No. 12-6363-00-02-9006) and 529 Camelback Road (Parcel ID No. 12.10.1.1-1 and Map No. 12-6363-00-00-5733), in Tannersville, Pocono Township, Monroe County, PA. Both parcels are in the RD-Recreation zoning district.
The complete application is available for inspection (without charge) or copying (for actual copying costs) at the Township’s office at the address listed above from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Anyone may attend the hearing and those who are affected and have legal standing may participate in the proceedings.
