NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TAKE NOTICE that the Pocono Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing
on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 beginning at 5:00 P.M., at the Pocono Township Municipal
Building, 112 Township Drive, Tannersville, Pennsylvania 18372. The purpose of the hearing is to
continue consideration of the application of SBA Towers X, LLC for a special exception to
construct a communication tower on a 51.50 acre parcel of land located at 1124 Sky View Drive,
in Scotrun, Pocono Township, Monroe County, PA in the Low Density Residential (R-1) zoning
district. Under Section 470-17(B)(3) of the Pocono Township Zoning Ordinance, communication
towers are permitted as special exceptions in the R-1 district in accordance with the
requirements of Sections 470-37 and 470-52 of the Zoning Ordinance.
The subject property is identified as Monroe County Parcel ID No. 12.16.4.24 and Map
No. 12-6353-00-39-6545. The Applicant is the equitable owner of the property under an option
and land lease from the owners of record.
The complete application is available for inspection (without charge) or copying (for
actual copying costs) at the Township’s office at the address listed above from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. Anyone may attend the hearing and those who are affected and have legal standing may
