ZONING HEARING

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Pocono Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday,
October 19, 2023, beginning at 5:00 P.M., at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 112
Township Drive, Tannersville, Pennsylvania 18372, to consider the appeal of Wesley and Stacey
Wojtanowicz from the Zoning Officer’s Enforcement Notice dated April 4, 2023. That
Enforcement Notice alleged that the Wojtanowiczes violated the following provisions of the
Pocono Township Zoning Ordinance: (1) §470-121 by establishing a salvage/junk yard on their
property without first obtaining a Zoning Permit; (2) §470-17 by establish a salvage/junk yard
when that use is not permitted in the Commercial (C) zoning district; (3) §470-122 by using and
occupying their property as a salvage/junk yard without first obtaining a Certificate of Use and
Occupancy; and (4) §470-132 by expanding the existing truck terminal use without first obtaining
subdivision and land development approval.
The Wojtanowiczes own the subject property, which is located at 585 Railroad Drive, in
Stroudsburg, Pocono Township, Monroe County, PA in the Commercial (C) zoning district. The
subject property is further identified as Monroe County Parcel ID No. 12.10.1.37-1 and Map No.
12-6362-00-76-1892.
The complete application is available for inspection (without charge) or copying (for
actual copying costs) at the Township’s office at the address listed above from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. Anyone may attend the hearing and those who are affected and have legal standing may
